progress report

Because sometimes it can be difficult to keep track of everything I work on, even for me.

I started work on adding shelving to my dismally small laundry room. Next up is setting up some proper hooks and organizing.
I mocked up more shelving for my living room. Measurements are not set in stone, but I do like these IKEA shelf brackets. And the dark walnut stain is what all my other shelves are in, so all the built ins I make are stuck in that color so I can leave it for the future owners. I really want to try the shade special walnut though.
We replaced this fan (sneak peak in the background) and I sold it on facebook marketplace. Boy was that obnoxious. I’m not deterred from future sales, but the sorry girls make it look so much easier to deal with fb sales.
I pulled patterns from two different sized stockings for a quilting project, post coming soon.
I realized you can use ribbon instead of paper for paper chains…but now I’m realizing that means with the poly ribbons they’re less eco friendly so they better hold up

Plus some other silly things I have and haven’t been doing. I guess I’m participating in blogmas this year without realizing it, but I’m not putting any rules on myself. I’m riding the blogging train until I get bored with it again.

To do next week (or eventually)

  • Finish the rest of my quilted stockings
  • Make pillows (I have about 8 that I’d like to do, but that’s a bit much for a week lol)
  • Finish rest of holiday decor and gift diys
  • Potential holiday cards (I have an idea but just like with the christmas tree it may not happen this year and that’s okay.)
  • Print out the blueprints moderne coat pattern for a thrift flip style project (I’d like to get this done before it gets well and truly cold but we’ll see)

Hopefully I do at least one of these things so I have more to report back on. We took a spontaneous trip to Detroit this week so I’m a tad behind anyway and next week the christmas obligations truly begin. Wish me luck xx
