So yeah, all my grand plans of updating a blog regularly seem to fall to pieces. In fact, most of my huge projects I have a pretty hard time following through to the end. You should see my abandoned projects drawer (should that be a blog post?).
In the meantime, I’ve been into reading blogs more than ever before. Since then I’ve realized I would not be a fan of my own blog. My favorite styles of blog are more conversational updates of projects along the way. Sewing pattern reviews are nice and all, but multiple blog posts about one big project are so entertaining to read.
The other problem with my blog: I haven’t been sewing. Some big life stuff happened this year that changed my priorities for a little while. Also I plan on moving in the new year. So maybe I’ll post some home content as I redecorate and try to get ready to sell. Maybe I need to finish organizing my work room and do a room tour. I’ve got a pretty nifty setup now tbh. And maybe I’ll finally get my etsy shop off the ground and do some update posts on some designs I’m really into right now.
So here’s my game plan. Reset to a project diary blog. I’ll post cosplay and wardrobe content plus home design stuff or really any of my random interests I get into really intensely even if it lasts just for a couple months. I’ll quit worrying so much about edited photos or the perfect photoshoot. I’ll just snap some pics and write some words and try to focus on the momentum rather than perfection. We really can be our own worst enemies sometimes.
