It’s been a year

Remember when I said I’d commit to NaNoWriMo with blog posts? lol

Life is too crazy for excuses. And then it’s already March and tulips are popping off and you realize you had a blog thing that you wanted to keep updated like it’s 2008 again or something. I was certain that it would be good for me to compile all my projects in one location as proof that I do actually work on stuff when people ask me. I thought that platform would be instagram, but boy does it suck to use instagram now. Why are all websites getting worse?

Anyway, I’m still making stuff, puttering away, trying my best. It’s funny though when something crazy happens that rocks your world and forces you to slow down. Is this enough? Does any of this really matter? Should I be doing something else?

But thinking that way only makes you nuts, so I’m just going to keep on going being really passionate about extremely specific things but only for brief moments. I can’t work on anything for the next month that requires me to be in my workspace or that needs new materials so I’ve been forced to pick up and put down so many different projects which is indeed an absolute nightmare for my brain and for my organization.

But I’m here. And maybe I’ll take proper photos of my things I’m really proud of finishing like my moth eaten vintage skirt on which I hand embroidered dozens of tiny daisies, or my scrap busting quilted chore coat with six (yes, six) whole pockets.

I also have so many projects planned for the rest of the year including a Nudie suit, a tulle monstrosity, and a historical costume, so stay tuned (but don’t hold your breath).
